Colourful Sheep Go To Market and Competition!
Tuesday, November 01, 2011
I will be exhibiting for the first time at The Country Living Christmas Fair held this year at the Business Design Centre, 9-13 November 2011. The perfect place to buy original Christmas presents. I will be selling a range of goodies including new lavender cushions, fine bone china mugs, limited edition fine art prints, my new Woolly Colourful Sheep and much more! Each sheep is lovingly handmade using wool from Dorset Sheep and comes with it’s own unique knitted jumper which includes Coco and her striking black and white mohair design and Bartholomew who sports his own fair isle pattern. Only a limited number will be available so please stop by to see them!
Win A Ticket to Country Living!
I have some complimentary tickets for the show. For your chance to win a free ticket to the show please leave a comment or email me at mary@marykilvert.com and let me know the answer to the following question;
‘If you had a sheep what would it be called and which is your favorite jumper?’
I look forward to seeing your answers! Coco and Bartholomew will pick the winner from a milking churn on Friday 4th November. Good luck!

ooh i LOVE these – so adorable! So.. my fave sheep has to be the one in the pink/cream jumper. her name would be Geraldine and she would be quite a feisty old bird who was extremely kind at heart.
I love sheep! My favourite has to be the sheep with the piccie all to herself. If I had a sheep she would be called Ewe-nice. Sue x
They’re super-lovely, Mary! The red-white striped jumper is my favourite, and the sheep would be called Cozy Josie. x
Those sheep are just so cute! I like the one with the flower on it (and the pink and cream one is a close second but they are all gorgeous). I would call her Daisy named after a pet lamb I used to have when I was little called Daisy (she was rejected by her Mum and had to be hand reared). She was the most gorgeous little thing and I used to wake every morning with the excitement of running downstairs to see her.
Oh my!! they are amazing!! Love them so much. I really like three of them. blue and red stripy one as it’s the same colour as my owl jumper, the black one with coloured strips and the flower one too. I think they would look good on my computer table together. How would I be able to get one/some sent to Germany? I would call him Woolie Wonder! 🙂
Oh my god I love these sheep! Good luck with the Fair!
Jess xx
Thank you so much for all your wonderful names! Some other names I have received include Angus, Magnus in the moss green jumper with a sprinkling of dandruff and Miss Ewe!
Those are the most adorable sheep I’ve ever seen. I love them.
Meryl.
The red and white striped one, like a boiled sweet.
I love these sheep! I was wondering, were they needlefelted? I’d love to make some regular sheep for my christmas tree!
Hi Andromache, Yes they are needle felting 🙂
I love the purple jumper beause it reminds me of my favourite jumper at home (a Minnie Mouse knitted jumper I’ve had since the 80s).
I’d call my sheep Jethro after my super fluffy white cat who used to yodel all the time!
Hi Mary, I just wanted to message to apologise for not turning up and saying ‘hi’ at the Country Living fair. My lovely little lady (who is now 4) had 4 very sleepless nights which bought on my dizzy spells again (I seem to get really bad dizzy spells when I get beyond a certain level of sleep deprivation – 4 years of hardly any sleep taking its toll). I was really, really looking forward to going but just couldn’t face the London crowds on the Saturday 🙁 I was gutted I must say 🙁 Thanks so much for letting me have the chance to go and I am so sorry that I couldn’t use the tickets. I will blog about my parental frustations with a link to your lovely blog and fb page. Take care Zoe xxx PS thanks for your lovely card, your illustrations are beautiful and it now takes pride of place on my dresser.
