Welcome to Mary Kilvert
With a background in illustration, Mary uses pattern, colour and humour to create her popular animal based designs which are then brought to life on ceramics, textiles and stationery. Her most popular characters are Baatholomew the sheep, who knits his own jumpers, and Larry the Long Dog who enjoys dressing up!
These colourful characters are inspired by Mary’s childhood growing up surrounded by a menagerie of animals, and by walks in and around the beautiful Somerset countryside where she now lives with her young family.
Mary also makes a range of collectible woollen sheep wearing tiny hand knitted jumpers, each with their own distinct character. Handmade to order, each sheep comes with their very own certificate of authenticity.
