Colour, pattern, storytelling and animals inspire Mary Kilvert. The designer based in Somerset encapsulates her skill as an illustrator and love of narrative in a range of beautiful products, including textiles, stationery and ceramics.

Mary graduated from Kingston University with a degree in illustration and quickly built up a portfolio of clients from editorial, advertising and publishing, including Usbourne Publishing, Oxford University Press and House and Garden Magazine.

In 2008, Mary started to design and make a range of illustrated products and these were further  developed when she joined Cockpit Arts, in 2011. Mary launched her a range of decorative homewares and gifts at the 2011 Country Living Fair. It was an instant success and led to Mary opening her shop in Frome in 2013, in the beautiful town of Frome in Somerset.

Mary works mainly in gouche and acrylic to produce her designs. Her products have also been stocked throughout the UK and internationally. She continues to work to commission, while also developing her range of products, please get in touch if you have a project in mind.
